BR.aiN is an interactive 3D platform explorer in which the player commands an introspective journey through a physical manifestation of the brain. Ultimately, with the emergence of AI in image creation, cultural shifts are forthcoming in reframing the definition of art and practice. Arguably, humans give meaning to the inanimate, a crucial flesh requirement that cannot be replicated by technology alone. Stemming from an underlying fear of the artist’s obsolescence in a dynamic technological landscape, BR.aiN aims to reaffirm the distinction between an artist’s human ability to imagine and an inanimate artificial model that can exist only through preexisting source material. The player relinquishes control of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, losing visibility, perception, and in the end, all control of the experience.
