I am older now.

Ella Roze Bandouveris

I created two abstract representations of what it means to live at my mom’s house and live at my dad’s house. This non-linear interactive work explores the relationship I have with the two homes I grew up in.
The looping algorithm takes you back to the pink envelope addressed to Ella and represents the way that two places have become contents within my identity, as they are contents of the envelope.

Ella Roze Bandouveris

Ella Roze Bandouveris is a multi-talented artist and director whose photography and darkroom printing process became the foundation of her creative exploration. Shooting since the age of 14 and, in recent years, exploring media arts, her work is fueled by narrative and abstract fragments of herself. Here, she works to understand her own contemporary femininity within the context of Los Angeles as well as her evolution of self as she moves away from childhood. Bandouveris weaves through the worlds of art, fashion, film, and music. Her artistic expression ranges from the Media Arts world – as she’s conducted AI studies of rock formations – to the Fine Arts world – where she experiments with ceramics and large scale paintings.

She is currently working on a short film for an immersive exhibition that will debut in UCLA’s EDA Gallery in March 2022.
