Let it Be.
(顺其自然)
“Let it Be. (alt: 顺其自然)” is a project I worked on in the spring of 2021. It was a way for me to highlight my Chinese American upbringing and the memories that have shaped me.
This project features a curated collection of small objects that hold a special meaning to me, as well as a catalog documenting my process. Chinese culture has a lot of natural symbolism and I was inspired by the symbols my objects embody. In addition, each object is tied to fond memories I have had growing up. In combination with each other, this has been a nostalgic way for me to honor my heritage and tell a story that is distinctly Chinese American.
