Out of Many, ? is an exploration about the changing landscape of American politics, in light of the increasing political polarization of the nation. 2020 was a year marked with significant political tension, characterized by issues of the pandemic and racial justice before culminating in the November elections. Through a series of digital photo collages, Out of Many, ? inquires into issues of misinformation, national identity, and political partisanship in the physical and online realms of America as relates to the events that defined the past year. As such, the collages present ideas ranging from the role of social media platforms in shaping political perspectives to the differing viewpoints across the aisle regarding the coronavirus and its resulting lockdowns. As the nation transitions to a new presidential administration that has promised to reconcile the soul of the nation, Out of Many, ? reflects on the partisan divides confronting American politics as the nation heads into the next four years.
